This page explains the data flows used by the salary calculator on this site. It is not a substitute for the privacy policy of the site host or third-party services. The calculator does not ask you to create an account.
Information sent for a tax estimate
When the calculator requests an online estimate, it sends the annualized gross pay (including any entered annual bonus), currency, and selected country to Global Tax Calculator. The request is made so the provider can return an estimated tax rate. The provider may also receive standard technical information associated with an internet request, such as your IP address. The provider's published privacy policy says salary inputs are processed in real time and not stored, while standard request logs may be retained briefly for security and abuse prevention. Review that policy for current details; Payday does not control the provider's practices.
If the online estimate is unavailable, you can enter an estimated tax rate yourself. In that case, the calculator does not need to send a tax-estimate request while you use manual entry.
Information stored in this browser
After a valid calculation, the calculator saves its input values in this browser's local storage under the key payday-calculator so they can be restored on a later visit. This includes pay, selected pay period, estimated tax rate, contributions, deductions, expenses, bonus, and savings-goal values. Use the calculator's Reset button to remove these saved values from this browser. Clearing site data in your browser also removes them.
Share links and clipboard
If you choose Share, the calculator copies a link containing the current calculator input values and selected country to your clipboard. Anyone who receives that link may see those values, and links can be retained in browser history, messaging services, or other systems where you paste them. Only share it with people you trust. Sharing is initiated by your action; the calculator does not publish the link itself.
Fonts and hosting
The calculator pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means a request is made to Google's font service when those fonts are needed. The website host may process technical request data to serve the pages. This project does not configure or control the host's logs or retention; consult the relevant service policies for those details.
Questions and updates
This starter site does not currently publish an operator contact address. Add a verified contact method and review this page against the final hosting and provider arrangements before launch. This page may need updating if those arrangements or the calculator's data flows change.
